Neuroplasticity through Sensorimotor & Somatic Integration
Encore: Movement Creation

ENCORE Program
ENCORE is a unique approach I created to blend my 15 years of training in wellness and rehabilitation science with some of what I have found through my research efforts exploring ancient wisdom methodology within areas of spirituality, healing arts focused around movement.
As much as our western efforts continue to be focused around fixing problems rather than understanding and approaching the human body as its own unique system which interacts with the world, this model is designed to help you connect at these deeper levels of what we now have come to understand movement to exisit at and use them to create.

This self-paced study program is divided into several groups with twelve exercises within each group that helps you work with the body in a new and more organized way that is suited to help you heal and create.

What is Unique About This Approach?
Throughout life, and even before we were born, there were mechanisms at play helping us to keep safe, move us in ways that help us adapt to our enviornment, and learn. These movements what we have come to know as reflexive behaviors of the nervous system, or what some call "primitive reflexes," allow our brain and body to develop and mature during our first year of life and serve as the foundation of all movement.

These movements are intellegent and allow us to experience

These fundamental movement patterns over time are supposed to integrate, and allow our brain to mature in ways that ultimately lets us feel, control, and make free choices in how we interact with our enviornment. They often can return again when we get sick, hurt, or injure our nervous system OR in some cases where we may have have missed out aquired the information necessary early in life, may stick around.

How we know this, is because when we get sick, they often can return again OR in some cases where we may have not aquired the information necessary early in life, may stick around.

underlying wisdom that is embeded in processes of biology and . takes the mindfulness that is deeply embeded in sensorimotor and somatics field and combines it with the foundational reflex patterns that exist in our brian and body that us survive and thirve during development. You may not remember these sensory experiences and reflexes much, but in many cases, they still continue to serve you as some of your bodies most earliest sensory and movement memories. Interestly, it is now thought that they may also become available again to you when your body needs help moving, get's sick, needs to reorganize, or gets injured.
Similar to learning the notes in music that you want to make music, we teach you how to interact with your brain and body in ways that helps you reinteract with this creative energy to borrow energy and build exactly what your body needs to be more organized, efficient, and integrated. Best of all, this is the second time around for you doing this.
This method teaches you how to tap into each individuals creative potential in a way that feels refreshing and exciting. We do this specifically by blending some of the governing principles behind how our body moves and interacts with the enviornment reflexively and automatically and combined them the mindful approach of scientific experimentation. The result is a personalized sensory and movement experience that is tailor-made jspecificaly to fit you where your body is taking you.

people find this rule-breaking process welcoming and exciting because, instead of following strict guidelines, you’re discovering and refining your own preferences, styles, and “rules” for movement. The nervous system thrives on novelty, and as humans, we love to create. Through this process, we teach you how to build new sensations and movement experiences that allow you strategic on the fly abilities you can use before, during, or after your playing and performances. We believe if you can imagine and create movement on the fly, you can integrate anything you need along the way :).

How It All Works:
Go ahead and google it, "How do I create Movement?" As a researcher and clinician-scientist, I have had a very difficult time finding this answer given what is out there but have found that in every other culture there appears to be movement associated with deep spirituality that does just this. As an artist, this was a no brainer and seemed to often be an easy thing to answer. In my efforts to find a more suitable and empowering way for the children and adults I work with to have access to the ability to create their own movement, I created a method called Twelve Tone.

ENCORE Program
1.Working Reflexively: Setting up the Stage
We all work with the reflexive system, some more consciously than others, and we’ve been doing so long before we were born. I’m going to teach you how to activate these systems, and then show you how to use them to borrow energy and move your body in ways that stimulate it, making it feel alive. You will access ways that provide your brain and fascial system with rich sensory experiences that help stimulate the brain as well as provide release to where needed.

This program is all about learning how to borrow and harness this energy first in safe but creative ways. I’ll take you through the fundamentals and the governing principles behind how these reflexes operate and how to know when you are and when you're not working in this state of practice.
2. Triggering: Turning the Volume UP
In science we use the word "stimulus," to create a specific response. In this case, I'm giong to show you all tyeps of different ways to stimulate the body so you can find the ones that give you the best reflexive response. We have a few that serve as foundational exercises, but because we are all so different, we have put together a systematic approach that helps you find exactly how to target and work with your boyd. I will also share with you strategies and methodologies that not only help you do this work but also connect with them in ways that better integrate your mind and body. This integration ultimately allows your body to heal more easily and efficiently.s.
3. Brain, Body, Breath, & Movement: Connecting to Rhythm
All of these share one thing in common: Rhythm. Even though these rhythms can be tricky to understand, Our brain thrives on novelty and loves to experience the rich sensory world within and around around us. When it no longer can, problems arise. Our body breathes reflexively, yet we have voluntary control over this process to access when needed and can use to shift energy states within our body. When we don't utaize this, we often feel the struggle. Additionally, our body is the master of responding to its enviornment through memories and training we create without conscious thought, the speed of this process is beyond our ability to percieve during, but we can after. Each of us has unique ways of building this system that supports this. However, when we choose to only operate based on old programming, we miss out on the potential our bodies have to offer. This leads us to wasting valuable energy, energy that could be used for more meaningful and important pursuits in life.
Here is wher eyou learn to put all these together and begin your ENCORE.
5: Twelve Tone Method: Letting Go of "Rules" and Creating Movement
The Twelve-Tone Method is a unique approach we created that combines mindfulness and self-healing to help you unlock new ways of moving and feeling. It allows you to tap into your creative potential in a way that feels fresh and exciting. We do this by blending principles we've learned from studying spontaneous and involuntary movements in healing practices with the mindful approach of scientific experimentation. The result is a personalized movement experience that is tailor-made just for you.

In this approach, we take what you’ve already learned—both consciously and subconsciously—and use it in new, creative ways to unlock a deeper level of movement. Many people find this rule-breaking process welcoming and exciting because, instead of following strict guidelines, you’re discovering and refining your own preferences, styles, and “rules” for movement.

4.Somaestro/a
Soma means body and Maestro/a means Master of art. Everything ever built that stands the test of time goes through a refinement process, what you do here will be no different. We'll help you get more accurate, more specific, but also more broad covering more areas of your body at hte same time so you can become the somaestro of your body.

Movement Your Way
We’re passionate about helping artists and musicians stay healthy and feel great so they can keep playing and doing what they love. We’re excited to share this program with you and can’t wait to be part of your creative journey
